Preflight & File Setup


Overview

I handled the full preflight and file setup process to ensure artwork was accurate, print-ready, and aligned with production requirements. This included checking color modes, resolution, safety margins, and dielines, fixing errors, and preparing final files for output. My goal was to prevent print issues and support a smooth workflow from design to press.


Clients: Levis, Tommy, Burger King, Nickey, Sketchers, Kraft, McDonalds, Peets, Naf Naff, Facebook, Linkedin, etc.



Responsibilities:

  • Reviewed and corrected files for color accuracy, resolution, bleed, trim, and safety areas

  • Verified ICC profiles and print specifications 

  • Checked linked assets, fonts, transparency, and layers 

  • Identified and fixed layout or scaling issues  

  • Ensured dielines, varnish, and spot colors were properly set up  

  • Prepared clean, organized production files for output

  • Adobe InDesign 

  • Acrobat Pro (Preflight tools)
